Pack-rat

So getting ready for my dr appointment yesterday I couldn't find my shoes anywhere. No biggie- I'll just grab some different ones for now. Got places to go, and people to see, and Rhonda was waiting so patiently with her kids out in the car to take me to my appointment (thanks again Rhonda). So I survived one day (1/2 the day anyways) without my favorite, comfy shoes but I was determined to find them as soon as possible before I had to leave the house again. I expected to find them in one of Emma's random places since she LOVES shoes she'll wear them all over the place and leave them anywhere and everywhere... her bedroom, in the toy chest, kitchen, etc. But in the mist of all my cleaning and straightening up I lost another pair of shoes I know I left by the front door.... hmmmm What is this girl up to?.... She had my sunglasses so I followed her around for a while and I figured it out!

It's kinda dark but see this mischievous grin.... That's cause she's putting all my stuff in the back of this couch that has a nice big opening when it's reclined!

Treasures I found: 2 and 1/2 pair of my shoes, 1 Cinderella shoe, bouncy ball, and Andrew's shoe my house swallowed up over a month ago (Sorry Kristi!)

Another pic- these two poles were also found. It's really dark in there and it's hard to get things out. That's one of my projects to complete today and probably everyday as long as we have this couch! :)

Midnight cookies

So we had a busy, crazy day yesterday which resulted in Emma not taking a nap. No biggie right? I figured I'd just put her to bed really early and then she'd wake up early- it would all work out great since we have horrid sleeping habits right now. We stay up really late and then sleep in really late; I do mostly because late at night is when I get my energy and can get all my work done. I let her stay up too just so I don't have to get up early with her after being up all night. :) But I figure with a baby coming so soon we should probably have a better schedule.

Anyways back to Emma not taking a nap... I put her to bed at 7:30 and she was out within 30 seconds of laying down. But of course it can't be THAT easy! She was up at 9:30! She did have a nap after all just a lot later than she should have! If I had been in bed she would have just come in and slept with me and my wonderful plan would've worked! Self-sabotage is what I'd call it. So we were both up til who knows how long after midnight (Good ol' Jason started school again so with him getting up at 5:30 he was excused from staying up so late:) But even though this sounds like I'm complaining I'm really not because it all turned out great :) Can it GET any better than COOKIES & MILK, STRING CHEESE, and 'I LOVE LUCY' with such a cute little 22 month old. We just couldn't help ourselves :) Once we realized neither of us were ready to go to bed it was just PARTY TIME!

My little helper

Emma picked out her baby sisters coming home outfit. We've been very worried about how she will react to a little sibling. The last time my nephew was over he was crying and she went and put her hands over his mouth! But just this last week or so she has been so helpful and soft. She's loving her baby dolls. I even caught her putting baby lotion on one of them. There may be hope yet.... :)

Jason LOVES to play chess. He plays everyday. On Monday Emma saw the chess board all set up and started moving the pieces. She'd move a white piece... then a black... white... black... I came and sat across from her and she waited to me to make a move then she would. It was the funniest thing ever! Genius

Blogger?

So I've had this stupid thing set up for probably a month now but I'm not sure how it all works... SO this is just tester to see if I'll even like it or if I can even figure it all out :/ I love reading other peoples blogs and seeing what everyone's up to. Well here we go....
