Halloween?

I must say I really hate Halloween. Always have and always will. It's like a holiday for Satan. It's just EVIL. People dressing up like evil witches, ghosts, demons, vampires, etc. It's such an icky holiday. But even so it gives me an excuse to make my aunt Becky's jack-o-lantern dinner and my aunt Pennie's pumpkin roll (this year I have Mitzi's recipe too so I'm making 2 fabulous pumpkin rolls!). Mitzi doesn't even claim her recipe as her own but she's the one who gave it to me so she gets the credit. Thanks for the recipes ladies! I'm excited for dinner tomorrow :) It's the only thing that makes me excited to Halloween to come!

P.S. I know this post probably sounds different but trick-or-treaters ARE welcome to our place :)

Happy Birthday, Emma!

Sunday was Emma's 2nd birthday. We had her party on Saturday (and it was a CRAZY busy day). My in-laws, mom, and little sis Audrey came. I had a DISCOVERY TOYS party that morning, then we went to McDonald's for lunch and Maria brought her youngest kiddos to come play, then we came back to the house for opening presents. We also had our ward chili-cookoff and trunk-or-treat that night. That was a tiring day. I don't have the pictures up yet... and there's really no excuse for... I just haven't gotten around to it. There will be pics but if I don't write about it now it might not happen for another week or so.

A few presents for our 2 year old;

From Jason's parents- Pretty dress, flip flops (she won't take off), princess puzzle, 'The Big Hungry Bear' book, pretty necklaces, bathtub drum

From my parents- Disney princess baby doll stroller, cute clothes- a few TOO cute shirts and pants and a little adorable dress

From Jas and I- a baby doll, bassinet, carseat, and diaper bag with all the essentials for baby doll. (I got this set at Costco for $35 it also comes with a stroller, but knowing what my mom was giving her I knew she didn't need two)

From the Haynie's- the most B-E-A-uitful dress ever! This link takes you to Maria's blog where you can see some awesome video footage of Maria Hannah and Emma modeling their new dresses. Maria Hannah has been taking dance lessons for awhile now and you can see some of her ballerina skills. Too cute. They both look like little princesses.

Happy Birthday to my little princess!

My little baby is growing up. She'll be turning 2 this weekend. I did her hair in a ponytail today and she looks like such a big girl!

I love the natural ringlet :)

One month

Allison was a month old last Friday. She's growing so much. She was so tiny when she was born that even though she's still small it's nice to see some meat on those bones :) I was so afraid of snapping off a limb or two her first few weeks cause she really was just skin and bones. She's such a good baby.
Happy Allison at 1 month

When Alli was born I sent out a text to announce it and my little sister thought it was a joke and that I had sent Emma's newborn pic because she looked so much like her. That was actually my first thought when I saw her. I was thinking 'she's a mini Emma'. Emma was 8lbs 6oz and Alli was 6lbs 10oz. What say you?

As cute as can be

Pics are a little dark, cause I'm a little camera-retarded and don't know how to make it any lighter. So here's Joe and Alli in Alli's bassinet (tisk tisk) They didn't like it too much at first.....

But give Joe his binkie and turn on the soothing viberater and they're both happy. (Or Alli falls asleep instantly and Joe just sits contently) :)

Betrothed? You bet! :)

OK, so I'm just VAIN- I haven't posted this picture because I'm not wearing any make-up BUT who cares! Alli and her man Joe need to make their first appearance on our blog. So here they are:

My dear friend Maria had her baby on the 11th, the day after Alli was born. Lil' Joe. He is such a cutie. He and Alli are MFEO (made for each other) We joke that they were up in heaven a month ago singing 'The Circle of Our Love' :) You know, the one from Saturday's Warrior. It was so great being preggo at the same time as such a good friend and having our kids so close together. :) We even go to the same pediatrician so we just coordinate our appointments and carpool. It's grand!

This is a random pic I found. We entered her in a bedhead contest months ago (didn't win) but this picture looks like a winner to me! :)
